Privacy, clearly stated.
GOLMOK can be used without an account. Mohrs Korea Inc. operates the service and is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. We do not sell personal data, run third-party advertising, or use advertising analytics. We use limited first-party product analytics to understand whether lessons work.

Information we process
Data kept on your device
- Your native-language setting, selected interests, and followed artists or channels.
- Saved expression cards, review counts, reminder choices, and lesson progress.
- Shadowing voice takes. They stay on the device during the lesson and are not uploaded.
You can remove this data in Settings by choosing Clear local data. Removing browser storage or uninstalling the app also removes it from that device.
Account and profile data
If account sync is enabled and you continue with Google or Apple, we process the provider account identifier, email address, display name, sign-in provider, native language, selected interests, and followed artists. We use this information to authenticate you, protect the account, and sync profile choices. Study cards and voice takes do not become account data.
Available sign-in providers are shown in the app. A provider is used only when you choose its sign-in button.
Subscription data
Plus is not for sale in the current public beta. If subscriptions are enabled later, GOLMOK will keep a server entitlement containing the plan, store provider, product identifier, subscription status, renewal state, and verified access period. Apple, Google, or the applicable purchase platform processes payment details; GOLMOK does not receive or store your full card number.
Lesson requests and technical data
If a future personal-link analysis feature is activated and you choose to use it, the app may send the video identifier, selected time range, lesson text, and requested action to our API. Hosting providers may process standard request information such as IP address, device or browser type, route, and timestamp for delivery, reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
A personal-link request does not add the video, lesson text, or generated analysis to GOLMOK's public catalog. Private requests are not stored in the shared analysis cache.
First-party product analytics
After you acknowledge this notice, GOLMOK may count page categories and product actions such as starting a study session, using LineLoop, completing a sentence or lesson, saving an expression, and starting review. The app creates random browser and session identifiers. The server converts them to one-way pseudonymous values before counting unique visitors and does not store the raw identifiers in analytics records.
Analytics events do not include lesson text, translations, voice recordings, email addresses, artist preferences, pasted URLs, or full browsing history. The administrator view shows aggregate counts, conversion rates, recent activity, and page-category totals. You can disable this collection at any time in Settings under Privacy and data.
Why we use information
- Provide lessons, sentence looping, saved reviews, reminders, and optional profile sync.
- Authenticate accounts and prevent unauthorized or abusive access.
- Diagnose failures, secure the service, and maintain availability.
- Measure aggregate visits and lesson completion so we can improve the learning flow.
- Respond to privacy, account-deletion, support, and content-rights requests.
We do not use your microphone recording to train AI models. We do not use account or lesson data for targeted advertising.
Services the app connects to
- YouTube and Google: videos play through YouTube's embedded player. When a player loads or plays, YouTube may receive device, network, playback, and fraud-prevention information under Google's Privacy Policy and YouTube's Terms.
- Vercel: hosts the public web app and API and may process standard request logs for delivery, security, and operations.
- Upstash Redis: stores account sessions and profiles when sign-in is enabled, and privacy-minimized aggregate product analytics.
- Google and Apple sign-in: when enabled, each provider processes authorization information under its own privacy terms. GOLMOK never asks for or stores your Google, Apple, or YouTube password.
- Google Gemini: when the optional feature is enabled and you explicitly request an explanation, the selected video identifier, time range, and lesson text may be sent for analysis. Gemini is disabled in the current public beta deployment.
Device permissions
Notification permission is requested only when you choose a review reminder. Microphone permission is requested only when you start a shadowing voice take. The app does not request contacts, location, camera, or photo-library access.
You can revoke notification or microphone access in browser or device settings. Revoking a permission stops the related feature and does not affect basic lesson playback.
Retention and deletion
- Device data remains until you clear it, reset browser storage, or uninstall the app.
- Account profile data remains until the account is deleted.
- A future server entitlement is removed with the GOLMOK account, subject to transaction records that a purchase platform or applicable law requires it or us to retain.
- Security and hosting logs follow the operational retention of the hosting provider and are kept only as needed for reliability, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.
- Daily analytics counters and pseudonymous unique-visitor estimates expire after 120 days. The recent-active indicator expires within two days. Aggregate analytics are not linked to your account profile.
- Support, privacy, deletion, and rights-request correspondence may be retained while the request is handled and for a reasonable period needed to document the response.
Delete a signed-in account from Settings, or use the public account and data deletion page when you cannot access the app. Account deletion removes the synced profile and server entitlement and invalidates active sessions. It does not cancel a store subscription automatically; that must be managed in the purchase platform. Local study data must be cleared separately on each device.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off first-party product analytics in Settings. Clearing local data removes the browser's analytics identifier; because aggregate analytics are not linked to an account or stored with a raw identifier, previously aggregated counts cannot be isolated back to a particular person.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, and to withdraw consent. Email mohrskorea@gmail.com with the subject GOLMOK privacy request. We may ask for limited information needed to verify that the request concerns your account; we will never ask for your account password.
International processing and security
GOLMOK is available globally, and service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. We use HTTPS in production and limit account data to the fields needed for the service, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
GOLMOK is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher age to consent to data processing, a parent or guardian must provide any required authorization. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate permission.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice before enabling materially different data uses, including advertising analytics, payments, new account storage, or additional AI processing. The effective date will change when the notice changes, and material changes may require a new in-app acknowledgement.
